BEFORE THE THREAD LIFT SURGERY
– the face is thoroughly washed and disinfected
– avoid drinking alcohol and coffee for 6-12 hours beforehand
– avoid taking anticoagulants or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs at least 7 days in advance
THREAD FACELIFT SURGERY
Prior to treatment the surgical area will be disinfected and a local anaesthetic will be administered.
The wires will be passed through the facial tissue to the lower face, after which the wires will be anchored to lift the soft tissue. Each thread is then anchored to the firm fibrous tissues of the scalp or behind the ear to provide long-lasting safe results.
The firming effect with the strands is achieved by the formation of new collagen around these strands positioned as a network. The strands are absorbable and will gradually dissolve but the newly formed collagen will remain, maintaining the effect of youthful skin in the areas where they have been inserted.
AFTER THE THREAD FACELIFT
– treatment with anti-inflammatory 5 days ( Nurofen, Ketonal , etc)
– avoid local trauma to the face, avoid face massage 3-4 weeks
– avoid exposure to sunlight or ultraviolet rays 10-14 days
Immediately after treatment you may have some mild swelling, bruising and redness which will disappear in the next few days.
