How much does a cheek surgery cost?

Bichectomy consists in the partial or total removal of the fatty bubble of Bichat (the fatty body of the cheek). This is in fact an agglomeration of adipose tissue (fat) in the cheek.

If you also have a round face with voluminous cheeks that do not improve with weight loss, and you wish to reduce the size of your cheeks and have a more supple and better proportioned face, then you can have a successful bichectomy. This will make your face more sculpted and your cheekbones better defined!

Also the operation of bichectomy is required in the case of people who have a large volume of the cheeks. They tend to bite the inside of their cheeks often, accidentally, and thus frequently create wounds.

On the other hand if we restore the proportions of the face and correct the volume deficits the results will be truly spectacular. Often to transform a rounder face into an oval (or “V” shaped) face which has been shown to be much more attractive, in addition to reducing the volume in the lower face area, we need to add volume in the cheekbone area to restore the correct proportions. This can be done either with hyaluronic acid or by lipofiling (transfer of own fat into the cheekbones).

Removal of Bichat’s fatty bulla is done under local anesthesia. It is a quick and relatively easy operation and the results are discreet but still impactful. A small 1-2 cm incision is made, intra-orally to the right of the last two upper molars (upper molars) through which the cheek fat is removed and then sutured. No scars remain, no hospitalisation is required and it takes about an hour.

It is recommended for people who have a large cheek volume. They tend to bite the inside of their cheeks often.
